One of the surgical prosthetic reconstructions in which you will receive training at Advanced Prosthetics Institute is the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dental implants are used to replace teeth, but can also aid in treating other biofunctional disorders, such as malocclusion. Dental implants are permanent solutions to replacing your patient’s teeth. Thanks to advances in technology, dental implants are a more successful and effective treatment than ever before, producing comfortable, highly functional results. At Advanced Prosthetics Institute, we provide patients, as well as our trainings for this treatment, using the Orthopantomograph® 3D CT Imaging System. This 3D cone beam scanner provides much more detailed images and multiple viewing options, improving the planning and procedure of implant placements.

How you perform your patient’s dental implant surgery will depend on the type of implant and the condition of their jawbone. If the bone has deteriorated due to the missing tooth, gum disease, or other factors, you may need to perform a bone grafting treatment before your patient can receive a dental implant. All implant surgeries occur in stages that involve several procedures.
